Former Paris Saint-Germain player Lionel Messi has teamed up with his friends to play at Inter Miami. The Argentine has Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, but another could join them soon.
Messi has played with Neymar at Barcelona and PSG, but could the former teammates be playing for the third time in their respective careers? In speaking with Band Sports, the Brazilian noted they are still in constant contact despite parting ways after their PSG exits.
“We are far away but we talk, we talk a lot,” Neymar told the outlet. “Even yesterday, he sent me a message but we are happy, we are happy for each other.
“For the title, he sent me a message when we won here too. I spoke to him, he’s a great guy, he’s a great mirror for me, he’s a great idol. Besides being an idol, he’s a friend I have and we talk a lot.”
Neymar isn’t the only former PSG player who could make his way to South Florida to play with Messi again. A recent report revealed that Angel Di María could soon make his way to Miami.
Diario AS recently reported that Di María and Inter Miami have agreed on a deal. The decision that still needs to be made is whether he will join in the summer after the Copa América or wait until January 2025.
