‘Not Just Up to Me’ – PSG Target Breaks Silence Amid Links to Barcelona, Real Madrid

Bayern Munich standout Joshua Kimmich will be a hot commodity for clubs looking to bolster their midfield. The player’s contract expires in 2025, and clubs like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are keen on the veteran.

It was reported that Kimmich would’ve met with Bayern Munich’s board last month to discuss his future. Since the 29-year-old hasn’t made any progress on a new deal with the Bundesliga side, the club might have to consider selling him.

Kimmich is a name on Real Madrid’s radar after Toni Kroos’s retirement announcement this week. Meanwhile, PSG have had the player on their radar since earlier this year and with the Parisians no longer in the race to sign Bruno Guimarães, they could make a push.

As for Manchester City, Pep Guardiola had the player when he managed the German side, so he knows the qualities Kimmich has. With the rumors ongoing, the veteran spoke about his future.

“That‘s not just up to me, but also on the club,” Kimmich told Sky Sports Germany (h/t The Mirror). “The situation isn’t uncertain for me; I still have a year left on my contract. My focus is on the Euros. After that, I’m sure there will be a discussion. Bayern is my first point of contact.”
