Barcelona Fear PSG Swoop for Everton Star After Stellar Euro Performances, Report Says

Foot Mercato’s Sébastien Denis recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain are considering Amadou Onana as a potential replacement for Manuel Ugarte. Moreover, the Parisians are one of three prominent clubes keen on the Everton standout.

As the 2023-24 season came to an end, Onana wasn’t a regular starter under manager Sean Dyche. This summer, the Premier League club might consider offloading him to keep other key players at Goodison Park.

The Belgium international is in the mix alongside João Neves and Everton are looking for around €55 million and €60 million for Onana. Manchester United is also interested in Onana, but they prefer to sign Manuel Ugarte.

SPORT reports that Barcelona have been eyeing Onana for months, but his impressive performance at UEFA Euro 2024 is boosting his value. The club is considering him if they can make some sales, but PSG might swoop in and sign him this summer.

Diario AS recently reported that the Catalan side are looking to sign a new defensive midfielder to replace Busquets. As a result, Onana makes sense for Barcelona this summer. Onana played in 37 total matches last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist for his Premier League club.
