Paris Saint-Germain find itself in a challenging position as it attempts to land LOSC Lille’s standout Leny Yoro and keep him in Ligue 1. Real Madrid are trying to use the player’s affection for the club to their advantage.
Yoro played in 44 matches for Les Dogues this 2023-24 season, showing he’s ready to take on the starting center-back role. However, with only a year left on his contract, there’s talk that he might be sold this summer if he doesn’t sign an extension.
As a result, the 18-year-old standout is drawing interest from to top European clubs this summer. Liverpool, PSG, and Real Madrid are all rumored to have an interest in the player. However, it’s the Spanish side that appears ready to get dirty with the competition.
Foot Mercato reported on Monday that Real Madrid might make Lille an initial offer of €30 million plus bonuses. However, the northern French club is aiming for a higher figure and hopes to drive up the price by playing on competition. Real Madrid, though, isn’t sitting idle.
Los Blancos advised Leny Yoro to stay calm, be patient, and wait for them to reach an agreement with his current club. In essence, Real Madrid is trying to avoid getting into a bidding war.

They’re banking on the player’s eagerness to join them to sway things in their favor. For this strategy to succeed, Yoro will need to turn down offers from PSG and other clubs.
Real Madrid seems pretty confident about how things will play out. While PSG had a strong hold on the player’s mind last winter, they’re now lagging behind their Spanish rival.
