Real Madrid Outpaces Bayern Munich and PSG in Race for Argentine Wonderkid

Despite being just 16 years old, midfielder Franco Mastantuono is catching the eye of several top European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, who have expressed interest in him. A River Plate club chief recently acknowledged the attention from multiple teams towards the player in a recent interview.

Getting him out of River Plate will require a hefty amount since the teenager’s release clause is currently set at €45 million. It’s important to mention that this amount could rise to €50 million if the player departs River Plate only ten days before the transfer window shuts.

Diario Olé reports that Mastantuono is drawing interest from the Premier League’s top five clubs—PSG, Bayern Munich, and BVB. However, Real Madrid has surged ahead in the race, thanks to their positive discussions with his entourage.

River Plate’s vice president, Matías Patanian, recently stated that they know that several clubs are already watching the player as the summer transfer window nears.

“There hasn’t been any official contact regarding Mastantuono yet, but we know there are teams pursuing him,” Patanian said. “Scouts come to watch River’s matches or they reach out to you. We understand he’s a player whom the big European powers are beginning to notice.”
