PSG Star Ready to Reject Man Utd and Newcastle In Hopes of Securing Barcelona Move

According to a report from Santi Aouna at Foot Mercato on Sunday, it seems Xavi Simons won’t be staying with Paris Saint-Germain for the upcoming season. Instead, he’s set to be loaned out once more this summer, marking his third consecutive loan spell.

Aouna also pointed out that the decision was actually finalized a few weeks back. Additionally, some of the club’s executives, excluding manager Luis Enrique, harbor concerns about the 21-year-old player.

PSG would have offloaded him this summer if given the chance, but the involvement of PSV Eindhoven in any prospective sale rendered that option impossible. Nonetheless, with another loan likely occurring Simons is ready to reject top European clubs to secure the move he wants.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Simons wants to join Barcelona despite interest from Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle.

During the 2023-24 season, Simons truly shined at RB Leipzig, making an impact with an impressive 43 appearances across various competitions. His standout performance included scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists, drawing the interest of numerous top European clubs.
