Kylian Mbappé will join Real Madrid once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in late June. Nonetheless, new information about the 25-year-old giving up the loyalty bonus after not triggering the option to extend his contract until 2025 is coming to light.
Last summer, Mbappé was brought back into the fold after promising to forgo his substantial loyalty bonuses, estimated between €80 million and €100 million.
According to L’Equipe, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has already struck a deal with Real Madrid, which includes a massive signing-on bonus. As a result, PSG is now looking to reassess the financial terms of his departure.
Negotiations are ongoing, focusing on the compensation PSG will receive, with both parties aiming for a positive outcome soon. With the Spanish side hoping to present the player next month, talks between the two sides will need to happen swiftly.
