PSG Joins Chelsea in Pursuit of €35M-Rated Valencia Goalkeeper Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma might have to convince that he’s the No. 1 starter for the foreseeable future. Nonetheless, there are rumors about the Parisians being in the market for a new shot-stopper.

If manager Luis Enrique wants a change between the goalposts, names are surfacing as to who the Spanish manager could want if the Italian goalkeeper does leave this summer transfer window.

According to El Desmarque (h/t Fichajes), Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is on PSG’s radar. The 23-year-old has made 33 appearances this season and recorded 12 clean sheets.

Mamardashvili is a player who isn’t only drawing interest from the Parisians. The Georgian international is reportedly on Chelsea’s radar as the Blues are looking to upgrade the position.

Chelsea currently have Djordje Petrovic and Robert Sanchez on its roster, with Kepa Arrizabalaga set to return from his loan at Real Madrid. Despite these options, Mamardashvili might join the club, adding depth to its squad.

How much could the Valencia star cost? Transfermarkt values the player at €35 million, so the asking price might be around that figure.
