PSG and Arsenal Remain in Pursuit of Newcastle Standout Amid Contradictory Reports

The Bruno Guimarães to Paris Saint-Germain transfer rumor began earlier this year, but new reports revealed that the capital club moved on from this file. However, that might not be the case.

According to a recent report from journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG are no longer in the conversation for Guimarães, and there is no plan to negotiate or trigger the release clause. Moreover, journalist Abdellah Boulma noted that there were small informal contacts.

Despite this information, GOAL reports that PSG are ready to battle Manchester City and Arsenal for the £100 million-rated Newcastle standout.

The past information from Jacobs reveals that Manchester City are showing the most interest among the potential buyers, while Arsenal likes Guimarães, but they are not planning to activate his release clause. They might consider joining the competition if the price decreases, though.

PSG looked into Guimarães but ultimately opted not to pursue him this summer. It will be interesting to see which outlet has the most accurate information concerning the Brazilian, but the player would be a welcomed addition to the Parisians’ midfield.
