La Liga Chief Delivers Insights on PSG Star’s Move to Real Madrid, UCL Prospects

La Liga president Javier Tebas is in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to participate as a speaker in a conference on sports held in that country.

The president of La Liga gave an exclusive interview to the newspaper Olé, in which one of the main topics was Kylian Mbappé’s arrival at Real Madrid.

During the interview with the Argentine outlet, Tebas revealed the length of the contract that the Frenchman signed while discussing the 25-year-old’s potential to win a Champions League with Los Blancos.

“He’s one of the best players in the world,” Tebas said (h/t Mundo Deportivo). “But, well, there’s also Vinicius and Bellingham. Madrid is going to have a great squad. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee winning championships… If they’ve signed him for five seasons, he’s got five seasons of opportunities [to win the Champions League].”

Last Friday, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé announced that he’d be leaving the club after this season. His contract expires next month, and the 25-year-old is heading to Real Madrid.

After the UEFA Champions League final wraps up, it’s expected that the Frenchman will be unveiled as the club’s latest addition. Meanwhile, PSG will be on the hunt for a replacement for their soon-to-be star player as they begin a new era next season.
