Paris Saint-Germain are likely to have to find someone to fill Kylian Mbappé’s shoes if reports of his departure this summer are accurate. Many anticipate his move to Real Madrid as a free agent, meaning PSG must start considering which player(s) can step up to maintain the team’s goal-scoring abilities next season.
Lately, there’s been a lot of discussion about PSG exploring various players as they plan for the future without Mbappé. One name that’s popped up in conversations regarding the French club is Victor Osimhen, the impressive talent from Napoli.
Osimhen is also drawing interest from the Premier League and Chelsea are one of the clubs looking to land the 25-year-old. Transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Blues have come up with an offer to present to the Serie A side.
According to Di Marzio, there’s been first contact between Chelsea and Napoli over the Nigerian player with the English club attempting to offer between €80 million and €90 million along with veteran striker Romelu Lukaku and a young player.
Chelsea likely wants to get ahead of this race, as Liverpool have also been reported to be in the mix for Osimhen. With the summer transfer window opening in a few weeks, this saga will be heating up.
