Earlier this month, news broke that Paris Saint-Germain is among the clubs interested in signing Palmeiras’ Estevão Willian. The promising talent from South America has attracted attention from several clubs, and Chelsea now appears to be the winner of this pursuit.
Palmeiras anticipate receiving the net value of the release clause, which stands at €45 million. This implies that any interested clubs will need to cover the taxes associated with the deal, ultimately bringing the total fee to approximately €55 million.
Nonetheless, the Blues have now reportedly landed the player who will be a major player in their future. According to journalist César Luis Merlo, Willian reached an agreement to play for Chelsea.
The English club sent its last offer of €65 million guaranteed without objectives, which Palmeiras accepted. As a result, this reported transfer will be the most expensive sale in America to Europe, and the player will arrive in mid-2025.

PSG secured two Brazilians during the January transfer window: Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo. Still, they whiffed on landing Endrick and, now, reportedly, Willian.
