When Paris Saint-Germain landed Randal Kolo Muani late in the transfer window last summer, the capital club secured a top French talent who wanted to play for his hometown club. However, the 25-year-old could be on his way out after one season.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner arrived at the Ligue 1 giants from Eintracht Frankfurt for €95 million. Nonetheless, it’s been a challenging Year 1 for the former FC Nantes standout. He’s made 39 appearances while scoring nine goals and registering six assists so far this season.

As a result, these struggles have led Borussia Dortmund to try to lure the player back to the Bundesliga. L’Equipe reports that the German side is focusing on securing Kolo Muani as its top priority for this summer’s signings.

They’re leaning towards a loan arrangement with an option to buy, but they’re also open to a direct transfer for €50 million. Yet, the chances of PSG agreeing to let go of Kolo Muani this summer seem slim.

For club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, it holds a symbolic significance, indicating the club’s trust in him for the upcoming season. As of now, Kolo Muani shows no inclination to depart from PSG, and there’s been no official communication from manager Luis Enrique hinting at his absence in the upcoming season.
