Paris Saint-Germain aim to improve its center-back position this summer. The Parisians have a clear path to LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro, but could they add another central defender?
The French giants lost Lucas Hernandez for the start of the 2024-25 season due to his knee injury, and Milan Skriniar’s future is uncertain, so the central defense could look vastly different next season.
As a result, more than one center-back could be coming to Paris this summer. On Wednesday, Tuttosport (h/t Sempre Inter) reported that Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus all want Torino FC’s Alessandro Buongiorno.
However, Buongiorno could decide not to stay in Italy and not play against Torino, so there’s also interest outside of the country, with Bayern Munich and PSG keen on the player.
A recent report suggests that €40 million might be enough to seal the deal for Torino’s standout defender, who’s tied to the club until 2028. If there are several clubs, then that price tag is likely to increase, so PSG, at some point, will need to ponder whether the fee is worth paying.
