Barcelona Priced Out of Move for PSG Sensation Amid Ongoing Links

Xavi Simons, who’s currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to RB Leipzig, is really catching everyone’s eye in the Bundesliga. Because of his standout performances, various clubs throughout European football are keeping a close watch on him.

According to a recent report from El Chiringuito’s Jose Alvarez Haya, Barcelona are working on signing Simons on loan, and the player is crazy about returning. However, on Tuesday, a report from SPORT put cold water on this information.

The Spanish media outlet notes that Simons is valued at approximately €80 million, which is a high price that the Blaugrana club are not currently prepared to pay.

Additionally, the fact that PSG owns his rights makes the situation even more challenging for the Catalan side. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano recently stated that Simons’ future will be discussed at the end of the season, with conversations taking place in the next few weeks.

Romano also mentioned that Leipzig expressed their desire to extend the 21-year-old’s loan for another year, but the final decision now lies with PSG. The player will also have a say in the decision-making process.
