Real Madrid Warned by Former Player about PSG Superstar’s Character

Kylian Mbappé is in the news after the 25-year-old didn’t look happy to be substituted during the 2-0 win against Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night.

Furthermore, Mbappé posted an image with no caption in the rain while holding the captain’s armband in his hands. This could be a symbolic message that this is his last Le Classique or that it might be related to being substituted early.

As a result, Johan Micoud, the former French player, is beginning to question the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s character and warn his next club, likely Real Madrid, of what awaits them.

“I wonder something about the team that’s going to sign him,” Micoud said on L’Equipe (h/t Mundo Deportivo). “Do these people really not question his character? Once there, they won’t be able to. If I were president, I’d ask him that question before signing him.”

PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke to the media after the win. The Spanish tactician had no time for the question. The 53-year-old noted that he’s the coach and makes the decisions regarding who is in the starting 11 and who gets substituted.
