Real Madrid or Bayern Munich? Ex-Manager on Who Can Challenge PSG for the UCL Title

Paris Saint-Germain will travel next week to face Borussia Dortmund for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie. After eliminating FC Barcelona in the quarterfinals, one former manager sees a PSG and Real Madrid final at Wembley Stadium.

Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich in the other semifinal. The Spanish side are likely seen as the favorite, considering they eliminated the reigning champions, Manchester City.

A few days before the semifinals get underway, former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger weighed in on which team he sees advancing to the final in London. The Frenchman believes that the Parisians will be advancing while Los Blancos are going to defeat their German counterpart.

“Since the beginning of the season, I’ve been saying that this could be Paris’s year,” Wenger said (h/t RMC Sport). “We’ve basically had a premature final between Manchester City and Real Madrid. One big contender is out. The two frontrunners now are Real and PSG. We need to be cautious, but I believe this could indeed be Paris’s year.”

The potential matchup between PSG and Real Madrid would be the ideal one that the football media will want considering the reality television drama that will come with it.

Kylian Mbappé will reportedly be leaving the Ligue 1 side to join the Spanish club, so the potential to defeat them in his final game with PSG is something out of a movie.
