PSG Transfer Target Destined for ‘Bright Future’ Amid Barcelona and Real Madrid Interest

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly one of the clubs cited as having an interest in Franco Mastantuono. The teenager is drawing a lot of attention from top European clubs despite being 16 years old. However, one journalist believes that age is only a number for the youngster.

Other clubs vying for the midfielder are FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. A recent report from TNT Sports Argentina notes that Los Blancos could be the leader in this race.

TyC Sports journalist Cristian Garofalo spoke with Bernabeu Digital and noted what type of player the Argentine is and what PSG or any other club that lands him would be getting.

“It’s a player who has a strong presence on the field, handles the ball very well, possesses a good left foot, enjoys set pieces, and, in general, at River, he has been utilized in a different role, similar to Di María, often playing on the right despite being left-footed,” Garofalo told the outlet (h/t Le10Sport).

“He’s a mature player who, until a few years ago, mainly focused on tennis and had to choose, within a supportive family, to concentrate on… He seems destined for a bright future, which is why River has secured him as they have.”

TyC Sports recently reported that River Plate is standing firm on the requirement that any potential suitor must activate the €45 million release clause in the player’s newly signed contract.

It’s important to mention that this figure could increase to €50 million if the player leaves River Plate just ten days before the transfer window closes. Remarkably, this release clause represents the highest ever seen in Argentine football history.
