PSG Target Possesses Similar Qualities to Barcelona Youngster Amid Real Madrid Interest

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly one of the clubs cited as having an interest in Franco Mastantuono. Hermes Aldo Desio, an expert in youth football, spoke with Diario AS and noted who the young Argentine reminds him of when he watches him play.

Other clubs vying for the 16-year-old include PSG, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid. A recent report from TNT Sports Argentina notes that Los Blancos could be the leader in this race.

Desio stated that he sees two players in Mastantuono: one Argentine at the back end of his career and one Spanish player barely beginning his football career.

“He still has a long way to go and a lot to improve,” Desio told the Spanish media outlet. “He could be something similar to Ángel Di María, a skilled and elegant left-footer. In addition, he also likes to enter diagonally from the right wing to find his best profile with his left leg… Mastantuono has similar qualities to [Lamine] Yamal, such as dribbling and creativity.”

According to a recent update from TyC Sports, River Plate is firm on the condition that any interested party activate the €45 million release clause in the player’s newly inked contract.

It’s worth noting that this amount could rise to €50 million if he departs River Plate just ten days before the transfer window shuts. Notably, this release clause stands as the highest ever in Argentine football history.
