Many expect Kylian Mbappé to join Real Madrid as a free agent when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. Over the last few months, there’s been speculation over the 25-year-old’s future as to whether he’d stay in the French capital or leave, presumably to the Spanish giants.
While the news of the decision may have only recently come to light, one agent, the well-informed Italian agent Darío Canovi, believes that Mbappé has been aware of his move to Los Blancos this summer for quite some time.
Canovi shared his insights on the upcoming transfer market, with Mbappé’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season seemingly imminent.
“Mbappé has been with Real Madrid for months now,” Canovi Radio Goal’s Kiss Kiss Napoli (h/t Diario AS). “Not saying it is a farce that has been going on for a long time. Mbappé has told the coach to hell and has insulted his mother. The only team that has Mbappé in hand is Real Madrid.”
There’s no official announcement from either the player or clubs, but barring anything weird from happening, it seems the Frenchman will be joining Real Madrid. All parties are likely waiting to see how the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal ties play out to see if they have to wait.
