On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain lost 3-2 to FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. Kylian Mbappé was a non-factor in the matchup, but it was far from decided with 90 minutes left.
Furthermore, other players didn’t perform well in the first leg. As a result, the team will have to adopt a different mindset when the scene shifts to Spain next week.
Le Parisien reports that the 25-year-old was frustrated with how he performed in the loss. However, he and the rest of his teammates are motivated to turn the situation around.
Kylian Mbappé was frustrated and annoyed by the defeat vs. Barça on Wednesday, as well as his own performance. But just like the other players, he is already motivated by a spirit of revenge for the second leg vs. Barça next week. 🇫🇷‼️ @le_Parisien pic.twitter.com/4hGwqlAziM

The last time Mbappé played in Barcelona, he registered a hat-trick, so there’s hope that the Frenchman can replicate that performance. If the Parisians want to head to the semifinals then they’ll need their star player to bring his A-game.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is reportedly leaving PSG after this season, and he probably doesn’t want to have back-to-back disappointing performances in the Champions League as his final memory.
