Luis Enrique Brushes Aside Controversy with PSG Sensation ahead of Coupe de France Semifinal

Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-0 victory away against Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night in the latest Le Classique match. However, the focus shifted to Kylian Mbappé, who was substituted in the 65th minute.

The 25-year-old didn’t appear happy to be coming out of the match and after the game, he posted a cryptic post on Instagram. Mbappé posted an image with no caption in the rain while holding the captain’s armband in his hands.

Luis Enrique and his team are playing in the Coupe de France semifinal against Stade Rennais on Wednesday, and the Spanish boss spoke with the media. One of the questions that Enrique received was about the drama that went on after the win over Marseille.

“What’s curious is everything that’s generated from a lie,” Enrique told reporters on Tuesday (h/t Paris Fans). “That’s what happens in football with some of the journalism.

Someone invents an insult, and there you go. I’m sometimes tired, but I deal with this with great tranquility. I’m pleased with my players, including Mbappé. He has shown exemplary behavior, and he continues to do so. I’m not affected by what is said.”

PSG will need to block out all outside noise for the remainder of the season since they have the possibility of winning the treble. They can clinch their spot in the Coupe de France final with a win over Rennes which allows them to dream of winning three trophies to close out the season.
