This summer, Paris Saint-Germain will aim to bolster their midfield as it’s reportedly one area that the capital club wants to improve as they begin a new era. There are various rumored targets, including a Barcelona standout.
While the midfield has performed decently this 2023-24 season for the Parisians, they are reportedly looking at upgrades and have their eyes on one player who is familiar with manager Luis Enrique.
According to Loïc Tanzi from L’Equipe, PSG continues to show keen interest in Pablo Gavi for the upcoming summer despite the challenges surrounding a potential transfer. Following initial discussions last summer, Gavi’s representatives and PSG intermediaries have agreed to maintain communication.
Furthermore, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and sporting advisor Luís Campos already considered signing him last summer. Gavi is currently under contract until 2026 with Barcelona with a transfer value of €90 million, per Transfermarkt.

The teenager has been out since November after suffering a cruciate ligament tear, so he won’t be part of the team facing PSG in this UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if any Parisian officials meet with his camp, whether it be in Paris or Barcelona.
Gavi isn’t Snakemar. So keep dreaming Psg.
