PSG on Alert: Barcelona Unwilling to Risk Midfield Pair in UCL First Leg Clash

FC Barcelona have a mini-break before the first leg of their UEFA Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain. As a result, the Catalan side will likely focus on getting injured players prepared for the match.

Even with this significant amount of rest that the team will have due to no games, Barcelona might be without two of their best midfielders for the first encounter with PSG in the French capital on April 10.

According to MARCA, Pedri and Frenkie De Jong should not be present against PSG. Barça, in a cautious move, should not take risks and will not force their return to avoid relapses.

It will be interesting to see whether this information is accurate because over the last few days, there have been many reports about whether these two players can be fit for the first leg.

Both players will improve the Catalan side’s chances of leaving with a favorable result. Nonetheless, if neither player can play that game in France, then Xavi Hernandez and his team will need to pivot to another strategy.
