PSG, Barcelona Eye £75M-Rated Sensation as Contract Talks with Liverpool Stall

Over the last few weeks, Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Liverpool standout Luis Díaz. Although conflicting reports exist as to how concrete the Parisians’ interest is, there’s a new twist to the rumor.

The Colombian is under contract until 2027, but the Reds want to lock up the player to a new deal, considering the amount of interest that he’s currently receiving.

According to the Telegraph’s Sam Wallace, Díaz hasn’t agreed to a contract extension with the Premier League club yet and could leave Liverpool this summer. PSG and Barcelona are interested in the Colombian winger who is valued at £75 million.

Unless he really wants to leave and the English side wants to allow him to depart, it’s hard to see a departure as the player is under contract for three more years. Nonetheless, this could be a negotiating ploy by his camp to ensure that Díaz receives a lucrative contract.

It will be interesting to see how the saga plays out and whether PSG does indeed have an interest in Díaz or if his representatives are just using the capital club’s name in contract extension talks.
