PSG’s Chances of Advancing Past Barcelona Fall on This Star Player, Pundit Says

Paris Saint-Germain is looking to reverse the 3-2 aggregate score in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona. With Kylian Mbappé’s underwhelming performance in the first leg, there’s a lot of anticipation for him to come back strong on Tuesday.

Even though Mbappé didn’t leave a big mark on the game, remember, there’s a whole 90 minutes left to play, so the final result is still up in the air. Plus, according to one journalist, there’s optimism that the Frenchman will step up his game in the second leg.

So, what does the capital club need to do to secure a result that will see them advance? Samir Nasri spoke on Twitch and noted that the Ligue 1 side’s hopes fall on the shoulders of Mbappé.

“If you want to qualify, there needs to be a great Kylian Mbappé,” Nasri said. “Dembélé? He’s alright, but test his abilities. Without a doubt, having a world-class Kylian Mbappé would make a difference. Dembélé, if he had Mbappé’s finishing, could be a major player on the field, maybe even at the level of Dembélé himself.”

A recent report from RMC Sport states that the club is optimistic about this possibility. Behind the scenes, manager Luis Enrique has been convinced since the start of this tie that the qualification would be decided at the Montjuïc.
