Ex-Barcelona Superstar Will Be ‘Extremely Useful’ for PSG to Prepare for UCL Clash, Expert Says

Paris Saint-Germain might have an inside edge on how Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez could defend and attack the capital club. Ousmane Dembélé played under the Spanish boss, and he could be a source of information.

Barcelona secured three points with a 1-0 win over Las Palmas last weekend. However, one player believes that the squad needs to step up its game before the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match against PSG.

Ahead of the first encounter, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Johnson spoke with PSG Talk and noted that the Frenchman could play a key role in the Parisians’ tactical planning as they aim to secure a positive result.

“Having someone like Ousmane Dembélé who was playing for Barcelona so recently, you know, even sort of sampled a bit of Xavi’s approach to games,” Johnson said. “I think he’ll be extremely useful in terms of what he can add, not necessarily, you know, tactically, but also in terms of sort of getting inside Xavi’s mind.”

It will be interesting to see if Dembélé provides the rest of the team with any inside information on how to attack and defend certain players. Furthermore, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will probably be playing with a chip on his shoulder and eliminate his former club.
