Barcelona’s Xavi Has Attacking Trio Planned Ahead of UCL Tie Against PSG

FC Barcelona will travel to the French capital next Wednesday for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. The Catalan side has a few days off, and reports are trickling out about the tactical plan for the contest.

While the focus is on the midfield and whether Frenkie de Jong and Pedri will be available, a new report reveals how the Spanish team will attack to attempt to gain an advantage heading into the second leg.

Journalist Gabriel Sans reports that Xavi Hernandez has his attack all planned out to take an aggregate edge back to Spain. According to Sans, Barcelona will count on an attack that will feature Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha.

As for PSG, the Ligue 1 giants and their manager, Luis Enrique, want the element of surprise on his side. The Spanish tactician has tinkered with the tactical plan and allowed players to operate in different roles that do catch people off guard, such as Ousmane Dembélé playing in midfield in a more central role.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see which attack does well to give their team the advantage for the second leg.
