Revealed: Barcelona Braces as PSG Support Swells for Second Leg Clash

Paris Saint-Germain will look to overturn the 3-2 aggregate situation on Tuesday when they travel to face FC Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie.

While the task is daunting, the Parisians won’t be alone. Several supporters will travel to the Spanish city to provide the energy needed to ensure the squad can turn the tie and advance.

How many PSG supporters will be in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys? Le Parisien reports (h/t Mundo Deportivo) that the Collectif Ultras Paris group boasted of a last-minute arrangement to secure an additional batch of 200 tickets.

As a result, it increased the number of supporters of the Ligue 1 champion to 3,000, whereas initially, the allocation for the visiting fans was 2,800 seats. No further details were provided on this matter and if there should be another attempt to secure more tickets.

The UEFA regulations stipulate that 5 percent of each stadium’s capacity is allocated for visiting fans. In the return leg of the Champions League Round of 16 match against Real Sociedad played in San Sebastián, PSG already transported 1,850 of its supporters.
