Barcelona Plots Surprising Transfer Coup for PSG’s Young Prominent Player

Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons is currently on loan to RB Leipzig, where the 21-year-old continues to impress. Nonetheless, teams such as FC Barcelona are keen on attempting to lure the player away from the French capital.

Last season, the young attacker had a successful loan stint with PSV Eindhoven, and this campaign, he’s making sure that everyone knows that his production in the Netherlands was no fluke.

This season with Leipzig, Simons has played in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring nine goals and registering 15 assists. This production has caught the eye of clubs like Barcelona, who want Simons to return to them after coming out of their academy.

According to El Chiringuito’s  Jose Alvarez Haya, Barcelona are working on signing Simons on loan, and the player is crazy about returning. While there’s a connection to the Catalan side, the report is hard to believe.

Simons had more leverage last season; he could’ve stayed with PSV and become a permanent player. Afterward, the standout could’ve catapulted to a more prominent club. It’s hard to see Barcelona having any talks with PSG over a player since they wouldn’t do the same if the Parisians came calling for a player.
