Barcelona Midfielders Face Crucial Evaluation Ahead of UCL First Leg Showdown with PSG

This Saturday will be a crucial day for FC Barcelona midfielders Frenkie de Jong and Pedri. Ahead of the UEFA Champions League first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, the Spanish side is racing against time to determine whether two of their stars will be fit. 

Barcelona is having a mini-break since their last match as they’re not playing this weekend before travelling to the French capital. Nonetheless, the primary question is whether de Jong and Pedri will play the first leg.

Diario AS’ Javi Miguel reports that de Jong and Pedri will participate in a training match on Saturday to test their sensations ahead of the match against PSG. As a result, this practice seems crucial to determining their status for the first leg.

There are many conflicting reports regarding these two players and their status for next week’s game. A recent report revealed the likely starting lineup that Xavi Hernandez might use against PSG, and neither of the two starting midfielders is in there. It will be interesting to see if the situation changes in the next couple of days.
