Real Madrid Prepared to Hand Man Utd, PSG Transfer Blow for €35M-Rated Defender

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly want Leny Yoro to anchor their defense for the foreseeable future. However, the capital club could be on the verge of losing another young French talent to Real Madrid.

Yoro’s contract with LOSC Lille expires in 2025, and if he desires to leave, the club will need to sell him this summer. As a result, several clubs are vying for the 18-year-old center-back.

Nonetheless, El Debate journalist Tomás González-Martín reports (h/t Bernabéu Digital) that Yoro has chosen Real Madrid as his future destination.

Despite multiple suitors, the French footballer will only go to Real Madrid this summer or, if Lille does not reach an agreement with the Spanish team, in July 2025 as a free agent.

According to González-Martín, the deal is expected to be around €40-45 million. Specifically, Real Madrid will offer a fixed fee of €35 million for the young French defender’s transfer, plus another €5-10 million in variables.

This will be the maximum effort Real Madrid will make to ensure that Leny Yoro does not have to endure a year at Lille. It will be interesting to see whether any of the other interested clubs, like Chelsea, Manchester United, or PSG, make a move to sway the player to join them.
