The football debate over the next few years appears to be about who is the better player between Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. As a result, several footballers will be asked which of the two players they prefer.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni spoke to the French media on Thursday and noted that his compatriot holds the title of the best player in the world for him.
“So…I’ll say Kylian for everything,” Tchouaméni told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “I prefer Kylian. Afterwards, Erling Haaland is also one of the best players in the world and everyone can have their opinion. What do you think about it? Kylian too, well there you go. At least we’re on the same page (laughs).”
Tchouaméni has played alongside the Paris Saint-Germain star with the national team and against him when he was at AS Monaco. So it comes as no surprise that he goes with Mbappé.
Furthermore, he has the opportunity to be teammates with the 25-year-old in a few months. Mbappé will reportedly be leaving PSG when his contract expires in June. Many expect the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to join Real Madrid and begin a new chapter in his career. It would have been awkward had the Real Madrid standout gone with anyone else.
