Real Madrid Resistant to Selling South American Talents Despite Looming Mbappé Arrival

Kylian Mbappé will reportedly join Real Madrid this summer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. Over in Spain, there’s speculation whether the Frenchman’s arrival will result in a significant exit.

Recently, ESPN FC pundit Gemma Soler stated that two names could be on the block to offset any financial terms committed to Mbappé. She noted that Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo could be available, citing that president Florentino Pérez typically sells a key player when a significant transfer is incoming.

However, Diario AS (h/t Bernabeu Digital) reports that the Spanish giant does not want to sell any attacking players. The signing of Mbappé, if completed, will only mean extra reinforcement for a most fearsome forward line.

If all players currently in Real Madrid’s attack are content with staying, they’ll have to sacrifice either playing out of position or seeing their minutes reduced. Nonetheless, could a team come to the La Liga side with an offer that Los Blancos cannot refuse? That’s also a possibility.

The next few months should be interesting to follow. Could either Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo be on the move?
