The current situation with Kylian Mbappé indicates that the Paris Saint-Germain star is reportedly set to join Real Madrid upon the expiration of his contract in June. Still, manager Luis Enrique has issued a sincere plea to the Frenchman, expressing his hope that Mbappé will choose to remain with his hometown club.
As a result, many could assume that there was a reason for the Spanish manager’s statement that he hopes the 25-year-old stays. Nonetheless, those remarks do feel like a Hail Mary plea after transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano provided the latest on the saga.
Romano reports that there have been no updates in the past few hours regarding Mbappé, despite Enrique expressing his hope for a change of heart from the player. Mbappé hasn’t informed anyone of any change in his decision.
Furthermore, the Italian journalist notes that PSG are already moving forward with a plan that doesn’t include him, while Mbappé is engaged in advanced discussions with Real Madrid.
