Real Madrid Debates Pursuit of €50M-Rated Chelsea, PSG Transfer Target

It’s reported that Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing Leny Yoro to solidify their defense in the long run. However, the club might be at risk of losing another promising French talent to Real Madrid.

This summer, the Spanish side are in search of a new center-back and has been keeping an eye on Yoro for quite some time. At just 18 years old, Yoro has already proven himself to be one of the most promising young defenders in Europe.

However, there is a split among Real Madrid officials regarding whether to go after the LOSC Lille center-back. According to ESPN, the Spanish side have not yet decided whether to bring the teenager in when the summer transfer window opens.

Los Blancos are focusing on securing deals for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies this summer. Some within the club feel it might be wise to hold off on pursuing Yoro for now.

The main worry is that another club might seize the opportunity and sign Yoro without hesitation. Both Chelsea and PSG are considered serious contenders for the French Under-21 international’s signature.

Yoro’s contract with Lille is valid until 2025. If he opts not to extend it, Lille might consider selling him this summer rather than risking losing him for free a year later. A fee of €50 million could be sufficient to secure Yoro, despite earlier suggestions that his value could be twice as much.
