PSG’s Stance on Manchester United Standout Hasn’t Changed, Expert Says

On Wednesday, a report surfaced indicating that Paris Saint-Germain is gearing up to make a substantial offer for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. However, new details have emerged contradicting the initial report.

David McDonnell from The Mirror reported that PSG are gearing up to make a £75 million offer to acquire Rashford this summer. Nonetheless, a report now notes that the Parisians have no desire to make that type of offer.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs notes that the Parisians have no desire to pursue the Englishman. Additionally, he reveals that PSG feels Rashford’s camp played games in past talks, so it comes as no surprise PSG doesn’t want to engage in talks.

“PSG’s position on Marcus Rashford hasn’t changed,” Jacobs wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “They won’t bid and are not advancing anything unless they get a clear indication Rashford wants the move. This hasn’t happened to date.

“Club felt games being played prior to Rashford renewing at Old Trafford. [He’s] been on PSG’s radar since 2022 but nothing progressing as of now. They like Rashford’s profile, but plenty of other options, including Victor Osimhen.”

Journalist Peter Hall also confirmed that the Ligue 1 side are not preparing an offer for Rashford at the moment. Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen remains their first choice, but if he indicates his wishes to play elsewhere, then other options will be looked at.
