Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract with the club expires in June. Many anticipate that the Frenchman will then join Real Madrid.

However, one player on the PSG squad wants to see the 25-year-old remain in the French capital. Warren Zaire-Emery spoke with the media on Tuesday and, of course, answered a question regarding the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

“There are many leaders ahead of me. How to respond to this question (evidently embarrassed),” Zaire-Emery said (h/t Paris Fans). “Surely, we would like to keep Kylian at the club because he is one of the best players in the world, if not the best.

“I don’t ponder this role of leader. It will come naturally as it did with the Under-21s, where it happened gradually. If a leadership role arises, it will happen naturally.”

Zaire-Emery will be one of the players counted on in helping Mbappé likely end his tenure with PSG on a positive note. The capital club has the opportunity to win a treble, but the most important trophy is the UEFA Champions League.

As Mbappé enters the prime of his career, he’ll need to feel satisfied with his choice to spend the upcoming years at Real Madrid. However, once his arrival is confirmed, the current squad will warmly embrace him.

Recently, Rodrygo also extended a warm welcome to the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner even if it means that he’ll have to deal with losing playing time next season.
