PSG Superstar Breaks Silence Over Recent Substitution Drama with Luis Enrique

On Tuesday night at Reale Arena, Paris Saint-Germain secured their spot in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with a convincing 4-1 aggregate victory over Real Sociedad.

Kylian Mbappé propelled the Parisians into the next round, registering a brace in the second leg. The Ligue 1 team would secure a 2-1 victory, with Mbappé emerging as the star of the match.

During his postgame interview with Canal+, the French media outlet asked him if he still had a conflict with Luis Enrique. The winger had been substituted early in two consecutive matches before the game against Real Sociedad.

Nonetheless, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner brushed off the question and noted no conflict between him and Enrique.

“There is nothing wrong with him, even though people may think there is a problem,” Mbappé said (h/t Paris Fans). “I have many problems but the coach is not one of them.”

In the last two weeks, the capital club has navigated the drama surrounding manager Luis Enrique’s decision to substitute Mbappé. However, Mbappé played the entire 90 minutes in the Champions League contest.

It remains to be seen whether this drama has come to an end. The squad must stay focused to secure their spot in the semifinals, regardless of their opponent.
