‘I’m the Coach’ – Luis Enrique Lashes Out at Media After Latest Kylian Mbappé Substitution

On Sunday night, Paris Saint-Germain clinched a 2-0 away victory against Olympique de Marseille in the latest Le Classique matchup. Yet, the spotlight shifted to Kylian Mbappé, who was substituted in the 65th minute.

The 25-year-old didn’t look all too happy with coming out of the match, and of course, the media wanted to know what transpired. When PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke to the media after the win, the Spanish tactician had no time for the question.

“It’s always the same music, week after week,” Enrique told Prime Video (h/t RMC Sport). “It’s exhausting. I’m the coach, making decisions every day. And that’s what I’ll do until my last day at PSG. I always strive to find the best solution for Paris. Sometimes, I may be mistaken, but these are my choices.”

Mbappé took to social media to post a cryptic message. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner posted an image of no captain in the rain while holding the captain’s armband.

It could be that this is a symbolic message that this is his last Le Classique or that it might be related to being substituted early. Nonetheless, expect plenty of speculation on this Instagram post, as many want to know why he posted it.
