PSG’s Luis Enrique Reveals Emotional Mindset Against Barcelona in UCL Tie

The UEFA Champions League quarterfinals first-leg tie between FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain is a few weeks away. PSG manager Luis Enrique will be facing his former club, and he has revealed his mindset heading into the matchup.

Enrique noted that he has love for the club, but over the 180 minutes, he wants to put together a game plan that allows the Parisians to advance to the semifinals.

“I am a culer, and I will keep being a Barça socio until the day I die, but I hope that I can reach the semifinal with PSG,” Enrique said on his Twitch channel.

PSG will have two people with history at Barcelona with a chip on their shoulder, especially when the matchup transitions over to Spain. One of them is Ousmane Dembélé, who aims to be a major factor in creating scoring chances.

Despite the matchup being on April 10th, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is already planning his squad. He probably understands what it will take to outperform Enrique on the sidelines and needs to be one or two steps ahead.

It will be interesting to see which of these two managers gets the edge over the other.
