Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract expires in June. The capital club could venture into the transfer market to replace his production and one of the targets that the Parisians could pursue is Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kvaratskhelia will be one of the hot targets this summer as Liverpool, Barcelona, Chelsea, and PSG are showing significant interest in the 23-year-old player. The Serie A side wants to sign him to a new contract because the player will have a considerable market.
La Repubblica (h/t ESPN) reports that Napoli are ready to hand Kvaratskhelia a contract extension that contains a significant release clause, like that of teammate Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker signed a new contract with a €130 million release clause.
The agent for Kvaratskhelia recently discussed the winger’s future and gave a timetable for his decision. Several clubs are likely to want to know if he’s open to leaving.
“I can’t talk about a precise amount; these are De Laurentiis’ evaluations,” the agent told Gazzetta Dello Sport. “I protect Khvicha’s contract and work. Everything will be clear at the end of May.”
