Paris Saint-Germain’s new transfer policy puts them in the mix for top young talent. Over the past two transfer windows, the Parisians have brought in Manuel Ugarte, Lucas Beraldo, and Bradley Barcola.
These players have yet to hit their prime years, and PSG are betting that these young talents will explode while also not paying outrageous transfer fees and salaries as they’ve done in the past.
On Wednesday, the latest young talent linked to the Parisians is Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué. Sports Zone reports that Doué seems poised to seek new representation, aiming to switch agents and join Moussa Sissoko’s roster.
The French agent, who also manages Ousmane Dembélé, eagerly advocates for his potential client to join the winger in a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. Nevertheless, discussions between the club and the player have not commenced.
It appears as though Doué, who is under contract with Rennes until 2026, wants a big move. Transfermarkt puts the teenager’s transfer value at €20 million, and the cost could increase if there’s a bidding war.
In January, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund were rumored to have an interest in the player, so it will be interesting to see if either of those clubs revisits their interest in the player in the summer.
