LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro is in high demand, as clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are keen on securing the teenage defender. One expert believes that moving to the French capital would be ideal for Yoro to take the next step in his development.

A few days ago, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported that Real Madrid are the frontrunner in the race for Yoro, with the Spanish giants making a serious push to sign him.

In his column for CaughtOffside, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Johnson dived into the topic regarding Yoro, whose contract with Lille expires in 2025, and how he sees the situation playing out.

“On Yoro, there’s been some recent speculation that Yoro favors Real Madrid over PSG as his next club, but that’s not necessarily my understanding,” Johnson wrote. “What is absolutely certain, though, is that both clubs are competing for his signature.

“I think PSG feel they have a strong case to him that his development will be best served by staying in France for a bit longer, giving him more top-level experience, as well as European experience. This could be the best step for Yoro before potentially making a leap to a club like Real Madrid later.”

PSG are also eager and will give its best effort, having shown interest in Yoro since last January. As the summer months approach, the rumors will only continue to heat up, but eventually, Yoro and his camp must decide where to continue playing. It will be interesting to see how this entire saga plays out.
