PSG Emerges as Rival to Barcelona in Pursuit of €9M Rated Goal Scorer

Paris Saint-Germain will start a new era when Kylian Mbappé reportedly leaves in June when his contract expires. The capital club is turning to young players with high upside, and there could be a new file rising to help replace the Frenchman’s production.

FC Copenhagen forward Roony Bardghji, under contract until 2025, is drawing interest from several European clubs, one of them being Paris Saint-Germain. Spanish football journalist Gabriel Sans reports that Barcelona is one of the teams at the forefront of this race.

However, Sans notes that the Catalan side will face tough competition from other top European clubs, as Juventus, Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, PSG, and Real Madrid are also interested in him. How much could he cost? Transfermarkt puts his value at €9 million, but that price will probably go up if all those top clubs are involved.

While the Parisians might be keen on young talent, seeing if they want to get into a bidding war will be interesting. Furthermore, the capital club has other needs in the midfield and defense, so it’s unlikely that they will push hard for a forward.

Xavi Simons will return after his loan stint with RB Leipzig, and there are already other forwards on the team, like Bradley Barcola, to whom PSG will give more prominent roles next season to grow. It’s not to say if an opportunity presents itself, the Ligue 1 side won’t jump on it.
