PSG Draws Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals

Paris Saint-Germain has drawn FC Barcelona as its opponent in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. The Parisians now know their path to the semifinals, which won’t be easy. However, they have the difference maker in Kylian Mbappé to get them over the hump.

The capital club is coming off a convincing Round of 16 performance against Real Sociedad. Meanwhile, Barcelona disposed of Napoli in the matchup in the previous round to reach the quarterfinals.

This matchup will see PSG manager Luis Enrique face his former club, and it also marks the return of Ousmane Dembélé. The Spanish side is the ideal matchup, as the Parisians avoid Real Madrid and Manchester City.

A recent report from COPE’s Dani Gil also revealed that Enrique would like to face Barcelona in the quarterfinals. As a result, the 53-year-old gets to face Xavi Hernandez, whom he knows well, and there likely shouldn’t be any surprises.

The winner of this matchup will face either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund, so a victory will have PSG or Barcelona on a clear path to the final in London.
