PSG Determined to Outbid Real Madrid for Coveted €60M Starlet, Expert Says

LOSC Lille standout Lille Yoro will be a target for many top European clubs looking to bolster their defense. The primary suitors right now for the Frenchman are Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Despite being 18 years old, Yoro will soon need to make a significant decision regarding his future. The center-back’s contract with Lille expires in 2025, and if he doesn’t want to extend, then Yoro must decide where to play next.

Real Madrid has scooped up young French talent over the past few transfer windows, like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni. Nonetheless, PSG will do their best to beat out the Spanish giants, and CBS Sports journalist Jonathan Johnson weighed in on how he sees the transfer battle playing out.

“I know for a fact that he is one of PSG’s top targets, [and] coming into the summer, they will try everything they can to bring him in,” Johnson told PSG Talk. “I think he’d be an ideal fit, not just what PSG are trying to do now but also in the future [and] how they’re trying to develop.

“So I think PSG will try very, very hard to make sure that they’re the club that picks him up from Lille this summer… PSG have to do everything they can to keep them out of the clutches of not just Real Madrid, but a number of bigger European clubs as well, who will be rivaling them for his signature.”

A report last month revealed that Les Dogues aren’t willing to let the player leave for a fee of less than €60 million. As a result, Real Madrid and PSG must come with heavy offers if they wish to land one of the top young defenders.
