According to reports, Real Madrid aren’t only satisfied with luring Kylian Mbappé away from Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish side wants Achraf Hakimi to be their long-term solution to their right-back position.
Hakimi came up through their youth academy and is close friends with Mbappé, so the target makes sense for the La Liga team. However, the Morocco international is under contract until 2026, and PSG wants to hold onto its defender past that date.
Journalist Nicolò Schira reported on Tuesday that PSG are plotting a contract extension for the 25-year-old that would tack on two more years, keeping the player until 2028.

The information doesn’t reveal key details of negotiations, whether both sides believe talks are heading in the right direction, leading to an agreement. Nonetheless, an extension isn’t wild to imagine, knowing that in the past, PSG struggled to find a quality right-back before the arrival of Hakimi.
As a result, they’ll be doing everything in their power to keep the player rather than seeing him leave.
