New Arrival for PSG Trails Arsenal Duo in Brazilian Champions League Ranking

Lucas Beraldo received praise from Luis Enrique after his performance in the 2-1 second-leg win (4-1 on aggregate) on Tuesday night at Reale Arena. From the coaching to the pundits in Brazil, the youngster opened many eyes. 

Beraldo had three clearances, three interceptions, and two tackles. Furthermore, he won nine of 14 total duels during his 90 minutes on the pitch. The 20-year-old had one key pass while completing 47 of 56 passes for an 84 percent success rate on 71 touches.

TNT Sports Brasil commentator Vitor Sergio put together a top-five ranking of the best Brazilian players left in the Champions League. The former São Paulo FC player comes in at No. 5 with his performance against Real Sociedad.

As for the four players ahead of him, Sergio puts Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli at No. 4, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo at No. 3, Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus at No. 2, and No. 1 is FC Porto’s Galeno. 

With his performance on Tuesday, Beraldo may have secured the starting position for future crucial matches.
