Paris Saint-Germain reportedly has its eyes on two prominent FC Barcelona youngsters. According to information from Spain, the capital club sent out a scout to watch Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí in the Barcelona – Napoli match.
The Catalan team’s financial struggles are widely known, and with the Parisians having additional funds to invest this summer, they could capitalize on their predicament.
Among the two players cited as potential targets for PSG, Cubarsí makes the most sense since the defender’s current contract has a release clause of just €10 million.
Nonetheless, Napoli’s Juan Jesús recently spoke about the 17-year-old defender linked to the Ligue 1 side. The veteran noted that he’s impressed with how the defender conducts himself on the pitch for his age.
“He was born in 2007,” Jesús said (h/t SPORT). “He is a year younger than my daughter and that is scary. It’s incredible to see such young players perform at that level.”
Barcelona have been in talks with Cubarsi’s entourage over a new contract, and an offer is already on the table. Could the player take it or will his camp choose to listen to other offers?
